To all mounted members of the Palmetto Partisan Rangers,
First let me thank all of you,who took time this past weekend to come to the Crocker Farm to fellowship and train. The good news is as a group we are riding closer to Partisan Rangers than Park Rangers. We must continue to improve if we want to be the best. Fellows,I can not do it for you. I would if I could because I want to be known as a member of the best unit on the field. Do you want that for yourself and our unit???? Well it does not just happen !!! You must make it happen. It starts with a commit to our unit. I have given everyone a copy of military training for cavalry, I can watch for you,but it want do you any good. You must watch it yourself, and I do not mean once. More like once a month would help you understand what you need to know. The horses need training as much, maybe even more than we do. They can not watch the training film. I challange every mounted member of our unit between now and the event at Allison Woods to have 50 hours of saddle time. Fellows that is over 4 months. That is less than 12 hours a month. Please keep a written log and turn it in at Allison Woods. We all have a lot of money invested in being mounted, why not take that next step. You can not buy horsemanship you must earn it. Please do so. Is anyone interested in a long ride, 2 or 3 days, with what is on your horse? If I can get commitments from 6 troopers I will try to put one together. Dennis Crocker President PPR

Dennis, I will make a commitment to a long ride. I am coming in a bit late but I will log a much saddle time as possible. This past weekend didn't hurt.
